Chicken wire is strong as it is manufactured from strong steel wire that is weaved and twisted to form the distinctive hexagonal mesh holes. Once the weaving has been completed, the steel mesh is hot-dip galvanised to cover the steel completely in a layer of zinc. The galvanisation of the steel wire ensures that the chicken wire fence is corrosion resistant and therefore will not rust.
Our chicken wire range is large and we supply rolls from 0.6m up to 1.8m wide in various roll lengths.
Mesh & Wire Sizes:
- 13mm mesh holes (0.7mm dia / 22 gauge wire)
- 31mm mesh holes (1mm dia. / 19 gauge wire)
- 50mm mesh holes (1mm dia. / 19 gauge wire)
Chicken netting is also known as galvanised hexagonal wire netting and poultry wire netting.
